ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A couple of dozen young men and women are shwoing their basketball skills to the Albany Recreation and parks Department.

They hope to win gold at the Special Olympics, and they could use your help.

The team needs more players, monetary support volunteers to help them practice.

"They can come to the carver gym, we're here Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm, they like it so much sometimes we actually go over our time," said Marie Stamps, Recreation & Parks Activities Supervisor.

The team competes November 20th in the Area games in Moultrie.

They hope to make it to the state games. Players must be registered with Special Olympics.
