LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) - A Lowndes County man was killed when his truck crashed into a tree on Wednesday.

The Georgia State Patrol has not determined what caused the crash.

56-year old Hoke Vaughn was traveling east on McMillan Road Wednesday morning towards Staten Road.

He drove off the road and into an oak tree with his Chevy truck.

Authorities arrived at the scene at 10:57 a.m. Vaughn was transported to South Georgia Medical Center were he died.
