ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There is one playoff spot left in region 1-AAA and the Worth County Rams can get it with a win over Monroe Friday night.
The Rams can even jump Monroe in the playoff seedings with a win over the Tornadoes.
Worth County has been on a roll with three wins in four games.
Head coach Scotty Ward says the team's season turned around with the return of quarterback Will Peacock from injury and the decision to run the football.
The Rams ground game faces a big challenge against a tough Monroe defense.
Scotty Ward said. "You try to find a way to do what you do best. Hopefully, we are going to be able to run it a little bit. We are probably going to have to mix in a little pass but we haven't thrown much all year. So, it is going to be a challenge for us no matter what."
Worth County has won four straight against Monroe.
