Warwick-- A log truck overturns and dumps its cargo across Highway 300 in Warwick this morning.

Ronald Harp was making a short haul from Sylvester to Cordele. As he turned onto Highway 300 North a security strap snapped as the fifth wheel plate on the truck broke.

Chief Sedric Carithers says, "The tractor-trailer was taking right turn off 313 to 300 and its strap broke and overturned. He's probably lucky to be alive, no injuries, the driver he's all right."

The owner of the truck--Deep South Leasing Company--will likely be cited for safety violations, including hauling an unsecured load and driving with flat tires. It took about two hours to clean up the mess.
