ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Tift Regional Medical center has temporarily closed its flu clinic, because they aren't seeing as many flu patients.

The Community Flu Clinic was open Monday through Friday afternoon for walk-in patients and did not require an appointment.

But for now, hospital officials say the number of patients they are seeing can be taken care of at the Emergency room so they decided to shut the doors.

Officials say the clinic will re-open if the need arises during the flu season.
