ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Tech Titans basketball program is off to great start in just two years.
Head coach Sylvester Patterson and his Titans are ready to tip off year three Tuesday night against Moody Air Force Base.
Albany Tech is coming off a 20 win season last year but lose most of the players responsible for that success.
The Titans return Monroe's Wilbur Lakes but post player Waylon Jones is out indefinitely with a foot injury.
Coach Patterson believes the many newcomers like Westover's Dominque Polite, Jerry Lewis and Raheem James and Valdosta High's Jeremy Fowler will continue the program's early success.
Sylvester Patterson said. "Guys are really working hard and concentrating on what the other guys accomplished last year. They are trying to build on that. That is what we keep stressing to build on last year. We won 20 games and we want to improve on that. I think we have got the talent to do it.
Game time is 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the Albany State HPER Gym.
The Lady Titans play their first ever game Thursday at CVCC in Phenix City, Alabama.
