Man charged for stealing pecans

BERRIEN COUNTY, GA (WALB) - A man who was shot trying steal pecans from a south Georgia farm will be charged with burglary and theft.

21-year-old Eric Seay is out of the hospital and Berrien County authorities are currently getting warrants for his arrest.

19-year-old Christopher Tillberg was previously arrested.

Investigators say the men stole 500 pounds of pecans from Shiloh Farms Wednesday, then came back for more Thursday morning.

Farm owner Buck Paulk and worker Juan Garcias were waiting with guns.

Seay was struck in both arms.
