Perry- Sheep, horses and cattle took over the Georgia National Fairgrounds Thursday as hundreds of students showed off their prize livestock.
About twenty-one hundred students from 4-H clubs and Future Farmers of America chapters took part in the Georgia Live Stock show. Many participants say raising livestock has helped them learn the importance of responsibility and hard work.
Student, Chase Goodman, says, "This has just helped me become a better student, and I am much more responsible."
This is the thirteenth year for the state championship event.
