ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A man is now charged for the brutal beating of a 2-year-old boy in Ben Hill County.

22-year-old Noah Larkin is in jail and charged with cruelty to a child. Investigators say Larkin left Cedrick Taylor with serious head injuries and a partially collapsed lung.

Paramedics arrived to a home on Lilac Road Friday afternoon and found Taylor not breathing. He ended up with a fractured skull and bruises to his brain.

Larkin is the boyfriend of the 2-year-old's mother. The Ben Hill Sheriff's office says the toddler remains in an Atlanta hospital.
