LOWNDES COUNTY,  GA (WALB) - Four suspects are being questioned in Valdosta after a home invasion kidnapping and an armed robbery last night.

A 23-year-old woman got a knock at her door on Madison highway six miles south of Valdosta last night.

Three men asked to use her phone. When the victim let them in they pulled out a gun, put a shirt over her head, grabbed items from her home, and forced the woman into their car.

They dropped her off in a ditch about a mile and a half down the road. A little later on three men robbed a clerk at the New Valdosta Inn.

Investigators think the four people in custody are responsible for both crimes but charges have not been formally filed.
