ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Water, Gas and light workers will see an increase on their insurance premiums next year.

Like the city, Water, Gas and Light is self-insured. Right now, the cost of premiums cover all the claims that come in.

But administrators worry that one large claim could put them in the hole. To avoid a large increase, they plan increase premiums just more than 3% in January and again the following year.

That amounts to less than five dollars per pay period for the most expensive plan.
