ATHENS, GA (WALB) - Georgia freshman infielder Chance Veazey suffered a back injury in an automobile accident last night in Athens.
The University of Georgia Sports Communications department says Veazey was hurt shortly after leaving the Miller Learning Center.
A family friend in Tifton says Veazey was injured when his scooter was hit by another vehicle.
Veazey is at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens but there has no been no word on his condition.
Chance Veazey was a four-year starter at Tift County High School where he was the team's most valuable player.
