South Georgians say no to French and German wines

February 19, 2003
Albany -
Some south Georgians are showing their displeasure with France and Germany, two countries that promise to block any U-N resolution authorizing war in Iraq.

Many Americans are fed up with the countries' refusal to back the U-S, so they're boycotting French and German products.

The manager at Warehouse Package Store is seeing the effects wine in sales.

"We've had several, no, more than several," said manager Louis Bernard. "Probably 10 to 15 customers come in to buy wine and say that they're just not interested in any French or German wine."

Bernard says he has plenty of other great wines from around the world to offer people. Austrailian wines are especially popular right now.
