ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The man accused of attempting to lure two young Albany boys into his van earlier this week made his first appearance in court Thursday morning.

Wearing shackles and hand cuffs, 36-year-old Kenneth Kellam stood before Magistrate Judge Victoria Darrisaw who denied bond in his case.

Kellam is currently charged with failure to register as a sex offender, but other charges are pending against him from the Dougherty County School Police.

Kellam told the judge that he did not have an attorney. A convicted sex offender, Kellam was released from a Florida prison in 2008.
