ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State football team coming off a tough loss in a big conference game against Tuskegee.
Saturday's game against Morehouse is even bigger for the Golden Rams.
The NCAA Division II Super Regional rankings is why this game is so big.
Albany State is third in the region and Morehouse is sixth.
The Rams need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive and stay in the running for a home playoff game.
Coach Mike White says his team's run game is going to have to get better if the Golden Rams are going to get a win over the Maroon Tigers.
Tuskegee held Albany State to under three yards a carry Saturday.
Numbers the Golden Rams cannot afford to see this week.
Mike White said. "The issues are still the same. We are having trouble up front. Pushing people around. We are going to have to be able to do a better job run blocking to be able to have some success against a tough Morehouse team."
Albany State hosts Morehouse at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Rams Den.
