VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Nothing but bragging rights and pride are on the line in tomorrow night's game at West Georgia.

Head coach David Dean hoping those will be enough incentives to have his team ready to play their big in-state rival.

The Blazers are down after losing to North Alabama and dropping out of the D-two playoff race.

Playoffs or not, Coach Dean and his staff reminding his players a win over West Georgia still means plenty especially in recruiting.

A win over a big rival could also be a big boost for the Blazers who are already pointing towards next season.

David Dean said. "There is a lot of pride in this program. We want to send the seniors out in a positive way. If we can do that, our seniors will graduate here never losing to West Georgia. That is huge for us. That is huge for me for our guys to be able to do that."

Valdosta State plays at West Georgia on the Gulf South Conference television game of the week 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

The Blazers close out the regular season next Saturday at home against Edward Waters.
