ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   The finances of the Dougherty County School System's child nutrition program are finally back in order.

Back in 2003,  the system offered free lunches to all students.

Unfortunately, all those free meals, mixed with poor financial management and a lack of checks and balances, resulted in a $3.9-Million deficit.

An independent audit now shows the money has been paid back with interest.

All Students are no longer given free lunches,  though anyone is entitled to a free breakfast.
