ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Moultrie Police are working with the GBI after a home invasion left one person shot overnight.
Sellar Edwards, III is in fair condition at the hospital in Moultrie.
About 2:17AM, two men burst into his apartment at 324-C 5th Av. NW, and shot him once in the abdomen.
This marks the third shooting in less than a week on Moultrie's northwest side. Police are currently investigating to see if this shooting is at all related to a fatal shooting Saturday.
In that case, police say 29-year-old Curtis Lee Coasey, Jr. got into an argument with 45-year-old Andre Richardson when he pulled a gun on Coasey, and shot him twice in his own yard off Third Avenue Northwest.
They think Edwards' shooting is an isolated incident, and MPD says there's just too much gun violence in the city lately.
