ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany State University student was injured Sunday afternoon after her car flipped off of the Liberty Expressway. Other drivers rushed to help her.

Albany Police say Keyondria Conner was driving her Chevy Trail Blazer in the south bound lane when she lost control,  over corrected and flipped over on the side of a hill.

Officers say Conner told them she was putting the top back on her water bottle and doesn't remember anything after that.

Conner's sorority sister is thankful for the kindness of strangers who rushed over to help Conner after the wreck.

"There were so many people here to help," said AKA sister Lisa Love. "It was so wonderful to see that we still have those type of wonderful people here that didn't ride past and came down here to help, because if somebody didn't come down here to help, you just don't know."

Rescue crews took Conner to Palmyra hospital to treat cuts to her hand and swelling around her head.
