MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Moultrie police need your help to find whoever targeted one of their own.

Late Wednesday night, an officer was responding to a call in the 400-block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when someone fired a bullet into her car.

It narrowly missed the officer and she wasn't hurt, but investigators have no idea who fired the shot.

They say they won't tolerate attacks on officers, and they're asking for help to solve the crime.

"We really need those individuals that know this to come forward and do the right thing and help us with this. Thankfully the bullet went into the rear door on the driver side it could have been a lot worse," said Cpl. Dave Underwood, Moultrie Police Department.

The GBI is also investigating. If you know anything, call Moultrie Police at (229) 890-5451.

You don't have to give your name and could be eligible for a reward.
