Albany- The House is considering a bill to require all massage therapists to get and license and be inspected by a state board.

Albany Therapist Martha Brown likes the idea. "If it's done by a group of massage therapists then that would be a good idea, but if it's done by chiropractors or doctors that may not be too good for massage therapists. So, it just depends on who's doing the regulating," says Brown.

She says only other massage therapists would have the knowledge to understand what it takes to do the job. The bill would also prohibit businesses from advertising massage and escort services together.
