Judgment House alternative to Halloween horrors

By Wainwright Jeffers - bio | email

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Byne Memorial Baptist church in Albany is offering an alternative to Halloween horrors.

About a hundred volunteers depict several scenes such as heaven and hell.

It's meant to encourage people to think about life after death, to show how quickly life can end, and to depict the sometimes instant consequences of poor decisions.

"We think it's kind of relevant this year our drama is about driving and texting, a lady was driving and texting and ended up running into a sidewalk café and killing not only some of her family members but just pedestrians at the cafe," Greg Ware, Youth Minister.

1,100 hundred people attended last year. The Judgment house is free and runs through Sunday.

You can call the church office at (229) 436-5700 for more information.
