ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor brought their brooms to the GISA 3-AAA cross country meet.
Lady Knights senior Kelly Conway has been battling injuries.
She still won a fifth region title in a time of 21:14.
Lady Knights placed six of their runners in the top ten to win a ninth straiht region title with 17 points.
Madison Sauls was second, Micaela Cuneo was third, Ore Ariyo was fifth, Caroline Hawkins was sixth and Camille Fox finished eighth.
Deerfield-Windsor boys also got off to a great start.
Taylor Withers wins a second straight region title boys title with a time of 17:45.
Ofe Ariyo finished second, Daniel Talley was third, Hunter Brooks was sixth and Dallas Knight was eighth.
The Knights scored 20 points to easily beat second place Brookwood.
The Deerfield-Windsor cross country teams are now off to the GISA state meet on October 31st in Macon.
