ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A pair of Albany State Rams have been honored by the SIAC. Running back and wide receiver Demetrice Johnson is the conference's offensive player of the week. He rushed for 106 yards and 3 touchdowns in ASU's win over Clark Atlanta. Kicker Juan Bongarra is the special teams player of the week. He made 2 field goals including a 35 yarder to send the game into overtime. Albany State hosts Tuskegee on Saturday. Kickoff is at 2:00.

For the second time this season Georgia Tech junior center Sean Bedford is the ACC offensive lineman of the week. Bedford helped anchor a line that made room for 309 rushing yards in Georgia Tech's win over Virginia Tech. The Yellow Jackets play at Virginia on Saturday. Kick off is at noon.

Georgia defensive tackle Geno Atkins is the SEC defensive lineman of the week. Atkins matched a career high with eight tackles during Georgia's 34-10 road win over Vanderbilt.

Atkins and the Bulldog defense held the Commodores to under 300 total yards of offense. Georgia has a bye this week before traveling to Jacksonville October 31st to take on Florida.

Florida kicker Caleb Sturgis is the SEC special teams player of the week. Sturgis made 3 of 4 field goals against Arkansas including a 51 yarder and the game winner. He is 10 for 12 on field goal attempts this season. Florida plays at Mississippi State Saturday night. Kick off is set for 7:30.
