Mitchell County- About fifty Mitchell County residents lost power Saturday morning, after a tornado hit the area.
Mitchell EMC crews were out early Sunday morning trying to restore power. But, some residents in the neighborhoods hit the hardest by the storm are still without power because of some damaged cables.
EMC worker, Otis Johnson says, "When these damaged cables are replaced, their power will hopefully be back up and running.
EMC workers say it may take a few days to repair the damaged cables and restore power to the remaining homes.
