ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It's been a great season for the Darton mens soccer team and Saturday it got even better. The Cavaliers upset top ranked Georgia Perimeter 4-2 after trailing 2-1 at halftime.

Matias Aristegui, Matt Tobin and Stefano Barriga all had a goal for Darton in the second period as the Cavaliers handed Georgia Perimeter its' first loss of the season.

In his 3rd season as head coach, Bart Sasnett calls this the team's biggest win since he came to Darton in 2007.

"To beat a number one team in the country like that I think we can play with anybody. We probably can contend for a national championship now" said Sasnett.

The Cavaliers have won eight in a row and will close out the regular season next Friday at Middle Georgia.

The Darton women also won on Saturday 2-0 over Oxford. The Lady Cavailers play at ABAC next Monday and finish the regular season at Middle Georgia next Friday.
