Turkeys and ham will feed thousands this holiday

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An important delivery at the Southwest Georgia food bank will help feed thousands this holiday season.

Dozens of boxes filled with turkeys and Ham was delivered to the food bank.

It's more than 70,000 thousand pounds in all.

Workers packed the food in vehicles for agencies and community organizations who get help from the food bank.

They'll give out the food over the holidays.

The food bank spent $100,000 on the hams and turkeys, it will be distributed to more than one hundred agencies through noon Friday.
