Blazers looking for first road win

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Thanks to some help from other Gulf South teams, Valdosta State is back in the conference title and DII playoff picture.

While Valdosta State was winning last weekend against Henderson State, Ouachita Baptist and Delta State both lost.

Those losses have created an eight way tie for second in the conference.

Valdosta State's opponent this week Harding is also in the second place tie and is fighting for a postseason berth.

That makes this game huge for the both teams especially Valdosta State which is still looking for their first road win this season.

David Dean said. "The last time we went out there we were the number one team in the country and lost 16-13 in overtime. So, it is place where we have not played very well. We have got to go over there with full concentration and get ready to expect their best and hopefully we will play our best."

Harding's win two years ago is their only one in five games with Valdosta State.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in Searcy, Arkansas.
