DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - People took a walk on the wild side Tuesday night to help raise money for a good cause.

A menu at Potter Community Center included everything from elk steak and pheasant and rice to whole hog.

It was all for the 17th Annual Boy Scouts Wild Game Fundraiser.

"Wild game dinner is to help raise funds to help support the Chehaw Council which serves 17 counties of Southwest Georgia, providing scouting training and support to kids and units in the community along with our camps and facilities," said Scout Executive Ray Allen.

About 1,200 people took part in the dinner.  There were also live and silent auctions.  They hope to raise up to $120,000.
