The Florida State football team has lost tight end Caz Piurowski for the season.
The senior suffered torn ligaments in his right knee while blocking during Jermaine Thomas'
first quarter 3-yard touchdown run Saturday against Georgia Tech.
Florida State's sports medicine director, says Piurowski will have surgery sometime in the next week or two.
Piurowski was enjoying one of the best seasons in recent years
for a Seminole tight end with 13 catches for 182 yards and two
touchdowns.
