ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Pelham teenager, who took off in someone else's car, led police on chase Sunday night.

Pelham Police say 18-year-old Joshua Griffin jumped behind the wheel of a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Flash Foods and sped south on Highway 19.

The owner who left the keys in the car, quickly called police.

Off duty investigator Rod Williams was driving his personal vehicle on the highway and chased the suspect.

Griffin crashed in Ochlocknee and ran, but Williams ran him down.

Griffin is in the Mitchell County Jail.
