Tifton and Tift county held their first forum on consolidation Thursday night.
A lot of people in the community, and even government leaders, took their concerns and questions to the experts.
They all want more information about the pros and cons.
"People should come with no preconceived idea of whether they're for or against it, but to listen, to get answers and to ask questions," said Mayor Jamie Cater, City of Tifton.
"If we can do it cheaper, yea we need to look at it, if we can do it better yea we need to look at it," said Mike Jones, Tifton County Commission.
Consolidation has been attempted in Tifton twice over the past 45-years.
