LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) - A Lowndes County man was killed in a truck accident Wednesday night around 11:15.

33-year-old Roger Michael Christie was traveling west on Old Naylor Road in a 2002 Dodge Dakota according to the Georgia State Patrol. He was traveling around a curb when he traveled off the road, one mile east of Green Road.

He tried to regain control but when overcorrecting, the vehicle and flipped into a ditch.

The driver's side door hit a tree and the vehicle flipped again until it was upright.

Christie was pronounced dead at the scene.
