ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany native remains in jail in Florida for a case involving the murder of a Florida couple.

Pamela Long Wiggins is charged as an accessory in the home invasion shooting deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings in Pensacola. Tuesday, a judge ruled depositions in the case against her and six men charged in the murder can be taken at one time.

Wiggins was jailed a second time after a grand jury increased the charges against her from a third degree evidence tampering to a first degree felony. Wiggins admitted having a close relationship with the suspected ringleader, Patrick Gonzalez, and his father. Gonzalez used her van the day of the murders.

Wiggins told investigators she allowed him to come and go from her home but said she had a hard time remembering the day of the murders. A safe stolen from the Billings home was found in Wiggins backyard. Her next court date is a bond hearing scheduled for November third.
