ALBANY, GA (WALB) - As consolidation discussions continue, Dougherty Countians will have another chance to weigh in. A third listening session will be held next week. State Representative Winfred Dukes and Dougherty County Commissioner Gloria Gaines held a listening session at Albany Technical College last month.

Commissioner Gaines says most people who attended are not in favor of consolidation, but she wants to continue to get a feel for her constituents concerns.  She said, "We'd like to see whether or not the thinking Is any difference in unincorporated Dougherty than it is in urban areas."

The next listening session is next Tuesday night (October 13th) at 6:00 at Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Old Pretoria Road.
