APD officer charged with child molestation

Albany Police arrested one of their own Friday.

46-year old Corporal Vincent Romone Wadley is charged with child molestation.

Police found out about the allegations Friday afternoon and arrested Wadley after consulting with prosecutors.

Investigators told the jail not to release his mug shot to us, and they refuse to give us any details about the allegations other than to say they involve one victim.

Chief John Proctor suspended Wadley without pay.

He's been with department for five years and was assigned to the Theft Unit in the Investigations Division.
