LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -   The Lee County softball team got some payback on Wednesday night.

The Lady Trojans scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to defeat Columbus High 6-4.

The Lady Blue Devils beat Lee County 5-4 back in August in Columbus.

The only loss of the season so far for Lee County.

The Lady Trojans are 20-1 and finish out the regular season at Thomas County Central.

A win for Lee County will clinch the 1-AAAA south title and top seed in next week's region tournament.

A loss means a tiebreaker will have to determine the top seed.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   In the GISA,  Westfield routs Southland 10-0 to win the GISA 3-AAA playoff game.

It was the third straight day the two teams had played.

Southland won on Monday and Westfield won Tuesday setting up Wednesday's playoff game at neutral field Deerfield-Windsor.

Westfield will get a bye in the first round of the GISA playoffs.

Southland will host Pinecrest in a best two of three series on Saturday.

Deerfield-Windsor plays at Loganville Christian in a series that will be played Monday.
