ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Americorps program is looking for new members. A stimulus grant will allow the Americorps program, directed by the Albany Police Department, to offer a new program called Georgia Recovery Corps.

It focuses on job preparation skills. Tuesday, these Americorps cadets set up shop at K-mart to try to recruit other young people.

Ciceli Brown said, "Once we recruit the people, we work with them on a one-on-one basis and kind of see what services that they need. Some of their services that we offer include resume building, interview skills, application process, things of that nature."

The program is free and aimed at people from 18 to 24 years of age. Anyone interested in participating can call 430-5304.
