By Christian Jennings - bio | email

THOMASVILLE,  GA (WALB) - A Thomasville man was arrested after investigators say he led deputies on a chase then crashed into one deputy's car.

Investigators say 21-year-old Morris Thompson was speeding on highway 122 Monday.

When deputies attempted to pull him over, he led them on a short chase. They boxed him in on U.S. 19 in front of the Wal-Mart and Thompson rammed into the back of a patrol car.

When deputies arrested him, they found marijuana in his car. He's charged with several traffic violations, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felony eluding police, and aggravated assault on a peace officer.
