ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Students at Albany schools got a first-hand look at the damage that drugs and alcohol can do to their bodies.

In her 15 years as an emergency room nurse, Linda Dutil has seen many cases of young people injured as a result of bad choices. At Albany Middle School Tuesday, she showed students the consequences of some of those bad decisions.

She even demonstrated how your stomach would be pumped if you overdosed on drugs or alcohol. She said, "I want teenagers to realize that they have the ability to make good choices and no one can take that away from them."

Dutil spoke to several Albany schools Tuesday and will speak at schools in Brunswick Wednesday.
