CAIRO, GA (WALB) - A South Georgia band director who was arrested at a high school football game Friday night, was back at work Monday morning.

Cairo High School band director Johnny Folsom was arrested at Hugh Mills stadium in Albany Friday night and charged with simple battery against a school police officer.

He posted a one-thousand dollar bond that night. Dougherty county police say officers told Folsom to wait for an escort to re-enter the stadium with his band members.

They say instead of waiting he pushed past an officer. Folsom was back in class today, he was directing the band when we tried contacting him this morning.

School officials won't comment on the incident.
