ALBANY, GA (WALB) - New information on a weekend shooting in Baker County, a man who confronted deputies is charged with felony assault on an officer.

Fifty-three year old Terry Mackeroy is still hospitalized at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in good condition after being shot in the side.

Saturday night, Orcha Mackeroy called Sheriff deputies when his brother Terry refused to leave the home. When a Baker County deputy arrived and tried to arrest Mackeroy, the two struggled.

The deputy tried to calm Mackeroy with pepper spray and even a baton, before firing a shot when Mackeroy tried to leave.
