Blazers still have plenty to play for against West Alabama

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Valdosta State knows their backs are against the wall after their loss at Ouachita Baptist last week.

The Blazers want to get back on winning track when they host West Alabama.

VSU knows their game with the Tigers is a must win as is the rest of the games on their schedule.

The Blazers already have two losses on the season.

The good news is Valdosta State can still win the conference if they win their final seven games.

Head coach David Dean knows his team cannot look ahead and they have to correct the mistakes they made last week in Arkadelphia.

David Dean said. "We can't worry about what happens. We got to worry about what Valdosta State does. We have got to take one game at a time. Hopefully, we can get on a seven game winning streak. We do that we deserve the right to be in the playoffs."

Valdosta State has won 23 straight games against West Alabama.

Game time is 7:00 p.m. Saturday in Valdosta.
