Albany- Master Sergeant Dale Shanklin is the area supervisor of recruitment at the Albany National Guard Armory.

Shanklin says fewer people are joining because of fears that the country will soon be at war, but he hopes things will change soon.

He adds, "I just hope people realize how the National Guard can help them. You can gain a lot by just becoming a member."

Shanklin says his office will continue to visit high schools and community events looking for men and women who want to become an Army of one.
