ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Marine is safely back home after a deployment to Iraq.

WALB was there Tuesday evening as Corporal Jerrod Bratcher flew into the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport.

Bratcher is attached to the Post Office at the Marine Corps Logistics Base and spent seven months in Iraq for postal training. He's happy to be back home.

"The mission went smooth so I'm just glad to be back," said Bratcher, "My wife needs me at home so I'm just glad to be here so I can help her out."

The father of two is back just in time for the delivery of his third child on October 2nd.
