THOMASVILLE,  GA (WALB) - At 5:30 Tuesday in the Garrison Pilcher cafeteria the school system's parent involvement coordinators are sponsoring a workshop on how to save money using coupons.

Thomas county school's recognize parents are struggling financially right now. That's why the workshop is free. The speaker will go over where to find coupons, how to combine coupons with other store promotions, and most importantly how to organize them to your advantage.

Dee Gaines is a devoted coupon user, and she says it works.

"My grocery bill has been cut from 400 dollars a month, to 200 dollars a month. That's with a lot of time and effort, but it can be done," said Gaines, Parent Involvement Coordinator for Garrison Pilcher.

She says it's important to check your favorite grocery store's website for coupons and sales.
