Albany - Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss says the evidence that Saddam Hussein has and intends to use weapons of mass destruction is overwhelming.

President Bush "laid out a very compelling case,"  he said, for war in his State of the Union address last week. He says Colin Powell "fortified" that case today.

"I thought Secretary Powell should have left no doubt in anybody's mind, anywhere in the world, about the fact that Saddam Hussein does have weapons of mass destruction, that he does intend to use them and we need to remove that capability," Chambliss said.

In his speech to the nation, Powell revealed both sources and how the United States gathered some intelligence information. Chambliss says that makes the case even stronger.
