ALBANY, GA (WALB) - This is the final weekend of summer and some people in Albany were outside enjoying themselves in the hot sun.
Kids of all ages were downtown by the river in their bathing suits cooling off and getting soaked in the outdoor water fountain.
People were also riding bikes with their families and sitting on the swings at river front park. Some folks didn't even realize it was the last weekend of summer, but one students said he wishes the season would last longer.
"It's been hot for the past few weeks and it feels good to get around and get my energy out and play in the water," said Christian Brackins who's in the sixth grade.
Fall officially starts this Tuesday, September 22nd just after 5 p.m..
