ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Lee County community pulled together Saturday to help raise money for a little boy fighting cancer.

Members of the Leesburg Lions Club and the police department's explorer group held a car wash and bake sale for 7-year-old Matthew Cooper.

Cooper is fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to help the family with medical and travel expenses.
