ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A generous donation from The Albany Chamber was one small way to say thank you to U.S. soldiers fighting in harms way.

The 48th Brigade is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

A request came in asking for a game box system for soldiers to used during their down time.

The Chamber Military Affairs Committee collected one thousand dollars to be presented to the 48th to purchase the items and mail the game systems.

"This is for soldiers deployed, to help them with their down time and to let them know we're thinking about them every day," said Catherine Glover, Albany Chamber President.

The chamber was able to raise the money thanks to donations from their members.
